Note (from Bill Simmons): Over the years I have read many Mission Statements and Company Introductions. Many claim their business has integrity, honesty and shareholders interest in mind. Like others, I have invested in several of these Companies. Over the years, I have found some claims made are not true. Columbia Petroleum could have created a mission statement and business strategy that included all the typical hype language others have used. I wish to avoid this sort of language for two reasons.
- Anyone can produce and publish attractive sounding language. However, a mission statement and associated business strategy is only of value if the Company actually implements the statements and strategies.
- The Company and its officers are judged by investors based on performance, not words. With this in mind, kindly review the Company’s Operations Strategy. The Operations Strategy is designed to build the company while maximizing shareholder value and return on investment (ROI).
